  Patti Ann (Mays) Shepherd Patti Shepherd, age 75 of Lexington and formerly of Noble, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at Norman Regional Hospital.  Patricia Ann Mays was born October 21, 1946 in Hamilton, OH, the 2 nd  of 5 children born to Dillard Lee Mays and Ruth Ann Rogers.  She was raised in Hamilton and attended school there, graduating from Dixon Israel High School.  By chance, she met a young serviceman named Charles Williams “Bill” Shepherd.   It was said he was a charmer, and when you know, you know.  They fell in love and were married on March 21, 1964 in Muncy, Indiana.   Following her sister, the young family moved to Oklahoma, settling in Okla. City, and later settling in Noble.  Together they raised three children, sons, Chuck and Bobby and daughter, Kelly.  For nearly 20 years, Patti worked in transportation as a dispatcher for Noble Public Schools.  Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a woman o

  David F. Eckerle David F. Eckerle, age 78, of Eaton, OH passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022.  He was born September 24, 1943 in Richmond, IN to the late Carl and Virginia Eckerle.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Greenville, OH.  David was the former owner and manager of Westlake Supply in Greenville, OH.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunt Betty McCashland.  He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patricia Anne Eckerle of Eaton; daughters Barbara Burns of Monticello, IN and Denise (William) Morris of Kettering, OH; son David F. (Angie) Eckerle Jr. of Westerville, OH; stepson Chris (Staci) Lane of Hagerstown, IN; grandchildren: Jesse (Shana) Burns Jr., Chelsea Burns, Jenna Morris, Ryan Taylor, Cole Lane, Ana Terry, Shayna Lane and Brooklyn Terry; great grandchildren Aries Burns and Scarlett Burns; and numerous cousins.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assistin

Heidi Sue Kimball-Touw Heidi Sue Kimball-Touw, age 82, of Eaton, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Oxford Healthcare Center, Oxford, OH .  She was born October 27, 1939 in Hamilton, OH to the late Mark Richard and Rosara Helen (Walter) Kimball. Heidi was a 1957 graduate of Dixon-Israel High School where she remained an active member of the Alumni Association. She was a member and ordained elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton and was active with the women’s and music programs and helped cook meals for the children’s Logo program. She also enjoyed an active role in Community Theater in Hamilton, OH and sang with the Village Voices group in Cincinnati, OH. In recent years, she enjoyed being a “snow bird” and resident of Plantation Florida. While there, she attended Plantation Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was a Deacon in 2020.
